11 Days in Italy – Italy Travel Guide for Italian Honeymoon
I didn’t plan on writing an Italy travel guide recapping our honeymoon – but I’ve been asked for suggestions a few times and figured why not share our itinerary with everyone to help plan your trip. To start off – Josh and I traveled from Raleigh directly to Rome to start our 11-day honeymoon (this included travel days). We scheduled our flight home from Venice and knew that between landing and taking off again, we’d make our way across and north in the country. The rest we kind of made up as we went – which is exactly how we wanted it 🙂
My husband insisted (much to my complaining) that we only carry backpacks the entire trip. Knowing that we were traveling to a bunch of cities and using almost exclusively public transportation- the idea was logical. It made it very challenging for my wardrobe but I packed smart and honestly I’m glad I didn’t have a suitcase that needed to be lugged around the country. Our honeymoon consisted of traveling from Rome to Siena to Chianti to Florence to Venice, and here are all the details in each city for an Italy travel guide for your trip!
