I’ve been getting more and more comfortable with my style as I get older. While I once went all out for NYE I never felt comfortable, maybe that was the point. I prefer a simple dinner out with my boyfriend, Josh than a night in a packed club for an open bar and I prefer a simple monochromatic look with beige accents that sequin numbers that rub against my arms. Plus who doesn’t like a white faux fur vest!
It’s a lot easier the older and more comfortable you are with yourself to find your own style and stop copying others. There has been countless times that I am either overdressed or underdressed in comparison to who I am out with, and that is Okay! I’ve found that as long as I like what I am wearing and how it makes me feel, it is the perfect ensemble!
